A set of ‘pop-up’ food and drink outlets will be opened inside shipping containers placed by the entrance to Ainsdale beach.
The trial scheme is expected to run through the summer and autumn, with hot drinks, cakes and “posh fish and chips” on the menu.
Sefton Council has granted planning permission and is now in final discussions with a North West catering business which could occupy the containers.
The local authority is also pressing ahead with plans for further investment in the beach including creating more car parking options and new toilet facilities.
A similar trial scheme is currently running at Crosby and has seen a pop-up food and drink venue operating from a double decker bus.
