A man who gained a partner, a child and a dog whilst on a six-year journey walking the entire UK coastline has shared heartbreaking news about his beloved pet. Chris Lewis, from Three Crosses, Swansea, left Llangennith beach with nothing but a backpack, the clothes on his back and ten pounds back on August 11, 2017. The former British paratrooper made the decision to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, by walking the entire UK Coastline.
Around 3,000 miles into his trek, as Mr Lewis was walking through Ayrshire in Scotland, he came across a family who had a dog up for adoption. Soon enough, Jet, who had been neglected and abused in the past, became his beloved pet and has been with him ever since. They trekked together through rain and shine, through Scotland, England, various isles and back into Wales and Jet did around 16,000 miles of the journey herself.
