Cannock residents have been given their first glimpse of a new “state-of-the-art” care home that has just opened in the town – and boasts its own cocktail bar.
A public preview day at Littleton Lodge saw people look behind the scenes at the “luxurious” care home, which has been under construction for nearly a year.
The Hednesford home is set to welcome new residents for short and long-term placements in the coming weeks and boasts facilities including a “luxurious” sky bar, a vintage tearoom with a balcony area, a beauty parlour and a cinema room.
Around 100 people visited its recent preview day, adhering to government covid guidelines, including town councillors Emma Honeyball and Sharon Jaeger.
Councillor Jaeger said: “I had such a friendly welcome from everyone at the open day and the tour around the building was really informative.
“The soft pastel colours and spacious corridors give the whole place such an atmosphere of tranquillity.
