A burst water main left “thousands” of Airdrie residents without water.
Hundreds of properties in Craigneuk, Petersburn, and other parts of the town suffered the loss of their water supply following the burst yesterday evening.
Scottish Water said engineers worked through the night in an attempt to resolve the emergency and that the “majority of customers” now had their water supply restored. Despite this, many customers now say they are experiencing discoloured water flowing through their taps.
