IT HAS emerged that the head of an education trust which has asked parents of pupils at a Kingswinford school to shell out for £510 iPads is in a relationship with his deputy.
Keith Sorrell, chief executive officer of Windsor Academy Trust and Dawn Haywood, deputy CEO and education director, are a couple.
The trust, based at Trinity Point, Halesowen, runs a host of schools including Kingswinford Academy and Windsor High.
The news was formally announced to teachers at Windsor High in Halesowen on Friday (July 2) by head Stephen Lanckham.
Official documents show in 2020 the trust’s top earner was on between 150-160k with the second top earner in the £130-140k bracket.
The trust has come under fire for asking parents to buy expensive £510 iPads as part of its ‘iPads for Learning’ scheme.
The couple are believed to have been together for years, with the relationship widely known about amongst staff at the trust and its nine schools which include Kingswinford Academy, Windsor High, Manor Way Primary, Tenterfields Primary and Colley Lane Primary…
