The concrete structure, which has just been given a reprieve from the wrecking ball, is starring in a new art exhibition coming to Teesside.
Middlesbrough Art Weekender organisers initially hoped to host an immersive art experience in the landmark, part of the Teesworks site at South Bank currently being cleared to make way for new developments.

Plans were recently approved to demolish it but campaigners hoping to save the tower have now successfully put in an application for listed building status to Historic England.
The Art Weekender’s virtual reality exhibition – called The Dorman Long Tower Reimagined: A Virtual Reality Experience – will still run and will take place at the WetDoveTail Gallery on Hill Street in Middlesbrough.
