PARTNERS in the Northern Echo’s Level Up campaign met for the first time in the boardroom at Teesside International Airport to talk about the opportunities and challenges for the region.
We all wanted to send a clear message to MPs and other business leaders that collaboration is a highly valued part of the region’s business DNA and that we have always worked together to help build a long-term and sustainable economic future for the North East.
The meeting was chaired by Northern Echo Business and Commercial Editor Mike Hughes, who was joined around the table by our Level Up partners: John McCabe, Chief Executive, North East England Chamber of Commerce; Peter Snaith, Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson; Geoff Paul, Head of Development and Housing at Durham County Council; Stephen Gill, Global Account Executive at Cummins and Louise Kingham, Senior Vice President of BP in Europe and Head of Country in the UK.
