Emmaus Hertfordshire’s garden which needs some love and attention

To mark National Gardening Week, homelessness charity Emmaus Hertfordshire is calling for gardeners to get stuck in and help transform its community garden.
Emmaus Hertfordshire provides a home, meaningful work opportunities, support and training for up to 39 people who have experienced homelessness, known as companions. Its community site, based in Hill End, St Albans, Hertfordshire has a large garden with lots of potential, and Emmaus Hertfordshire wants to transform this into a communal space for its companions to enjoy.
The charity is calling on local gardeners to come forward to support this project which started on Monday, April 26 and ends on Sunday, May 2 by volunteering their time in the garden, working alongside the formerly homeless people who now call Emmaus Hertfordshire their home.
