Italian software distributor Achab has launched operations the UK as it targets the MSP market.
The Milan-based distributor, which claims to have a customer base of over 1,800 resellers in Italy, has launched an expansion strategy into the UK with the opening of a new office in Reading.
The firm plans to build a sales and support team through its new Reading location with the aim of becoming “the technology partner of choice” for MSPs in the UK serving SME-sized customers.
Achab has launched in the UK with two new vendors – anti-phishing vendor Cyberfish and secure workspace vendor Cameyo.
The distributor claims it is actively growing its roster of vendor partners in the UK.
Along with the launch of its Reading office, Achab announced the appointment of Philip Sansom as UK managing director to lead its new operations.
Achab claims Sansom has more than 16 years of experience in the MSP market having previously worked in sales and management roles at Datto, Kaseya and IT Glue.
