Apple is unveiling the latest iPhone today in the technology giant’s yearly event from their HQ that will reveal this year’s latest devices.
The annual showcase reveals the latest iPhone every year alongside the latest range of MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watches, operating system and more as the 2023 showcase titled ‘Wonderlust’ kicks off at 6pm BST.
Rumours are rife the most significant change to be announced today is the iPhone 15 making the leap from Apple’s Lightning charging port to the more commonly found USB-C version – meaning the Lightning cables we all own will no longer work, reports the Mirror.
iPhone users will already be aware that Apple’s mobile phone chargers are different than those found on Android devices, but that could all change with the launch of the iPhone 15.
Although Apple’s Lightning ports are on its iPhones, iPads and Macbooks, the radical change may come down to EU rules that are coming into force at the end of 2025.
