Where is iOS 18.2? Despite Apple announcing that it would drop this month, we’re now 10 days into December and the iPhone software update is nowhere in sight.
Thankfully, we know it’s coming soon and will include sparkly new AI features we were promised, including custom emojis and images, and ChatGPT integration.
On Monday (December 9), Apple quietly issued a second release candidate (RC) for iOS 18.2, signalling that it’s still not quite ready for its public debut.
RCs and betas are part of Apple’s iOS development cycle, during which developers and the public can take it for a test drive, warts and all.
RCs are generally more stable than their beta counterparts, given that they’re released during the final stages of testing. That Apple has released two in the span of four days means it’s still dealing with some bugs.
Nevertheless, we’re confident that iOS 18.2 is closer than ever. Don’t worry, Apple hasn’t lost it down the back of the sofa.
So, when can you get your hands on it? Here’s what we know about iOS 18.2, including its release date and features.
