Much like the Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut, the PS5 version of Death Stranding won’t be free for pre-existing players.
Last night’s State of Play didn’t have much in the way of brand new announcements, barring a couple of exceptions like a sequel to VR game Moss. But some already announced games received some new details, such as Death Stranding Director’s Cut.
First revealed during the Summer Game Fest last month, it’s very much what you’d expect: an enhanced re-release that takes advantage of the PlayStation 5’s hardware and comes with new content so those who bought the original game can justify double-dipping.
A post-presentation PlayStation Blog has gone into a bit more detail into what’s included, but it has also shared one pivotal piece of info that wasn’t mentioned during the State of Play: the upgrade for PlayStation 4 owners won’t be free.
