A BEATLES buff has uncovered a foul-mouthed ending to one of their hits which has remained hidden for nearly 60 years.
Librarian Peter Daniels used software to strip away the music on Twist and Shout so only the vocals are left.
And he was stunned to hear John Lennon blurt out: “F***ing yeah” at the end.
Peter, 43, of Newcastle, said: “I’ve listened to the song a thousand times so didn’t think anything of it, then I suddenly heard this cry at the end.
“I couldn’t believe my ears. It was obvious what was being said and I couldn’t stop chuckling.”
Lennon had a cold and fever during the 1963 recording.
Producer George Martin described the raucous song as a “real larynx-tearer” and made sure it was the last number they performed at the end of the 12-hour session.
Lennon admitted: “The last song nearly killed me. My voice wasn’t the same for a long time after; every time I swallowed it was like sandpaper.”
