Millions of Brits are to receive new TV app with 100 extra live channels this summer as Sky hands out major upgrade. Sky is rolling out its new Sky Sports+ streaming app with 100 live channels this summer to millions of TV viewers across the UK.
The app, which will air up to 100 sporting events at a time, will also be available to Virgin Media and EE TV customers too, CordBusters has confirmed. Set to debut in August 2024, Sky Sports+ aims to provide subscribers with a wider range of streamed live events and improved features at no additional cost.
The service will be integrated into Sky’s existing platform (Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q) and will also be available on Sky’s streaming platform NOW and as part of a new and improved Sky Sports mobile app. Sky Sports+ is not a separate new streaming service, but will instead be a streaming-based expansion of Sky Sports, on supported devices.
