An Air Ambulance landed at a Peak District beauty spot as volunteers rushed to the aid of a woman who had collapsed. The crew from Helimed09 Midlands Air Ambulance Charity airlifted her to hospital from Lover’s Leap at Dovedale.
Derby Mountain Rescue Team were also there alongside a community first responder on Sunday afternoon, May 15. It took place at 1pm, and less than an hour later, the volunteers were called to another incident at Thorpe Cloud where a 34-year-old man had got stuck on a steep slope.
A spokesperson for the rescue team took to social media to share more details about the two incidents. A Facebook post shared just before 6.45pm last night, Monday, May 16, reads: “Two callouts to Dovedale at the same time: At 1pm on Sunday, May 15, the team were called out to Lover’s Leap to a collapsed female.
