Holidaymakers hoping to jet off for some sizzling sunshine in Turkey have been left frustrated by the latest update to the UK’s traffic light system.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has announced changes to the green, amber and red travel lists for those flying in and out of England.
There had been hopes that Turkey would be moved from the red list to the amber list, meaning double-vaccinated passengers could go there and not need to quarantine at home on return.
However, even a move to amber would not be a guarantee that holidays would be able to go ahead.

In the end, the travel review kept Turkey on the red list, causing frustration among Brits hoping for their summer sunshine break.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays today announced they had taken a decision to suspend all Turkey flights and holidays up to and including August 11. All affected customers will have their booking cancelled with a full refund.
