It’s been a year like no other for HR and L&D professionals. With unprecedented challenges thrown at practitioners by the biggest public health crisis in a generation and the world of work now unrecognisable compared to early 2020, HR has stepped up to the plate and contended with major challenges, including enforced home working, the furlough scheme and making workplaces Covid secure, to name but three. So with the people profession well and truly proving its worth and cementing its place at the heart of the businesses it serves, it’s even more important to recognise and celebrate its outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
