The last travel review was announced on August 26 – seven destinations were added to the green list and two were put on the dreaded red list.
A number of holiday hotspots such as France, Italy and Cyprus are maintaining amber status at the moment but could that change in the next announcement?
The next travel review is expected around September 16, with the government reviewing the rules every three weeks.

The current system labels countries as green, amber or red which determines how safe they are for travel based on a number of factors such as Covid-19 infection rates, vaccination statistics and variants of concern.
According to a travel industry expert, the current system is set to end in October.
