Dan Bentley says City need to show more hunger and motivation in their final three games to end the season positively.
The goalkeeper is keen to shrug off the negativity surrounding the club’s poor form and has called on the group to fight for their all over the next 270 minutes of Championship football.
He is eager not to let any negativity slip into next season’s preparations, but he admits there is frustration after recent results as City get ready for their penultimate game at home to Luton Town.
And Bentley says he and his team-mates must remain as fired up as ever for the next game to compete for a positive result against the Hatters on Sunday (April 25th, 1pm KO).
He told Robins TV: “I don’t think we can rely on defeats and disappointment to fire us up. We need to be fired up for every game, categorically. There’s no excuse for lack of motivation or belief because we know we have the quality and personally, no matter the game or circumstance we should be fighting for every inch of the pitch and point available.
