An urgent warning has been issued to any UK household who has a dog in the house over Christmas. The festive season is here but it has been warned not all food can be shared with our furry friends under the table.
The pet insurance experts at Animal Friends Pet Insurance polled the nation after seeing monthly toxic ingestion claims peak in December 20221. Not only that, Christmas Eve saw the most claims out of the whole year, followed closely by Christmas Day itself.
As Google search volume data reveals a 1,257 per cent increase for ‘20 human foods dogs can eat’ in the last month alone, and yearly searches peaking during the festive season, UK dog-parents are clearly preparing for the upcoming feast.
