The next London Borough of Culture as been named as Wandsworth.
The south London borough will hold the title from April 2025 and was declared the winner at an event on Monday.
Simon Hogg, leader of Wandsworth Council, said: “We’re going to deliver a year to remember.
“A massive thank you to the hundreds of community organisations, creative venues, schools, businesses and residents of all ages who helped shape our bid.”
Haringey was also announced as a winner, and will hold the title from 2027. The two winning boroughs will each receive £1.35m from City Hall.
Croydon was the previous London Borough of Culture and held a year of music and arts events from April 2023.
Wandsworth and Haringey were among several boroughs vying for the role, including Barnet, Ealing, Greenwich, Hammersmith and Fulham, Havering, Merton and Newham.
