A dog that was stuffed in a black bag by its owners and tossed into a river, has been rescued and found love in a new home.
Petal, a terrier-cross, was saved when a dog warden contacted the Dog’s Trust after she was thrown over a bridge by her old owners, who intended for her to drown in the river.
Her life was described as a “horror story”, but she now lives with a loving couple and has a new dog best friend, MyLondon reported .
Richard Moore, manager of the centre, said: “Petal is one of those horror stories. She was handed to the dog warden after reportedly being thrown from a bridge in a bin bag, and the dog warden contacted us.
