After a sudden drop in temperatures in the last few weeks, this Saturday, 11 and Sunday 12 will see warmer temperatures and showers at times throughout the UK. Greg Dewhurst, a Senior Operational Meteorologist at the Met Office, told Express.co.uk: “Temperatures will be above average this weekend away from northern Scotland by day and by night.
“We expect highs around 14C across South-West England.”
Through Saturday and Saturday night, parts of the country will be covered in fog, which should push drivers to be extra cautious and cause disruption.
Mr Dewhurst explained: “There is the risk of a few mist or fog patches for eastern parts of the UK.
“Through the day, there will be increasing amounts of cloud around as a weather front [band of rain] moves eastwards across the country.
“This will lead to some hill fog in places, more so overnight.
“This mostly clears through Sunday as it becomes windier, especially across the northwest of the UK.”
