A dog walker has spoken of his anger that people visiting a beauty spot are taking the time to bag up their dogs’ poos – but then carelessly dump them even though there a bins nearby.
Regular visitors to Burbage Common, near Hinckley, have previously reported seeing ugly piles of bagged-up dog mess near the entrances to Sheepy Wood, where poo bins used to be located.
However, several bins at the common were taken out of action in December 2019 as borough council workers were struggling to access them during wet weather.

Stephen James, who has lived in the area for 30 years and visits the green space every day, says the issue has plagued the area for at least 18 months, and he constantly sees the unsightly piles, sometimes with up to 20 bags.
He said: “I walk the dog every day over there. It’s such a lovely area.
