Customer relations is an area where there are always a lot of improvements to be made, especially when the business world is evolving so fast. It is an important point that without the customer, there would be no business at all.
Make yourself available
When it comes to customer services, it is important that you or a member of your staff is always available for your customers to be able to contact, whether it is via email or by phone, and that customer service is always at the forefront of your mind.
Being able to hold meetings via video link is also very beneficial. However, sometimes you just have to be there in person. Should you find that you or members of your staff have to attend meetings with your international customers in person, there are businesses available that can take all the stress out of any corporate travel and will also help you with any risk management involved.
Engage your customers’ interests
In order to get the best out of any customer relationship, you will have to engage in your customers’ interests. This means reaching out to them on social media platforms and moving your marketing strategies to be more native than head-on. By engaging in people’s interests and making your business more interesting to them with the services or products that you are offering, you will generate more interest.
In order to do this, you will need to make your adverts more like informational or educational posts or articles with a link to your website included in the text, and then maybe again at the bottom. It is a well-known fact that after a while, the audience will skip an advert that has been either overplayed or is so blatant a sales pitch that you may as well just have a picture and a price. However, when given an article or a video of interest, whether it is entertaining, educational, or filled with information written by someone that knows what they are talking about, you will engage your audience’s interest, and they may well want to read more. It is then important to hold on to that relationship by posting additional posts to your audience on your website.
You may initially feel this is wasted time, but actually, it is building a bond of trust, and therefore, this approach make it easier for you to sell your products or services to that person.
Offer a true after-sales service
It is a good idea to offer a true after-sales service. This is to make sure that your business is performing correctly and that your customers will happily buy from you again. When receiving feedback from your customers, ensure to act on the information that has been given to you. Forward any praise given to your workforce so that they know they have done a good job. This is paramount to a well-run business, as we all know that humans are pleasure-seeking, pain-avoiding animals. Giving praise when it is due will entice your workforce, whether it is consciously or subconsciously, to continue to do better and even outperform.
Any negative feedback will have to be addressed, and it is a good idea to make all the workforce aware that this is not acceptable, and then maybe look to retrain your people.
