Red lipstick, fake tan and Amy Winehouse’s winged eyeliner have topped a poll of the 30 most iconic beauty trends of all time.
The most memorable make-up styles also include lip liner, coloured mascara and thick eyebrows – as favoured by Cara Delevingne.
And while more than a third voted for timeless red lipstick trend and smokey eyes – often seen on Kate Moss – brief trends like body glitter and beauty spots also feature.
Matte lipstick, contouring and shiny lip gloss also made it into the top 30 trends of all time.
Kim Priest, a spokesperson for centre:mk, which commissioned the study, said: “Consumer trends, pop culture and social media now have had a huge impact on the beauty products that fly off the shelves.
