THE COUNTRYSIDE views at the country’s highest pub are set to get better next year when a new beer garden opens at the boozer.
At 528m above sea level, the Tan Hill Inn in Richmond, Yorkshire, is the highest pub in the UK.
Planning permission to build a two-storey extension and a new beer garden has been approved, reports local newspaper Richmondshire Today.
Five more rooms will also be added as part of the pub’s expansion.
Solar panels will be installed on its roof, with other internal improvements taking place.
