The Queen has been left extremely disappointed by the news that she cannot participate in one of her favourite hobbies after a recent health scare.
Her Majesty, who is an avid horse rider, has been told that she won’t be able to get back in the saddle until at least the Spring.
Reports say the Queen is determined to enjoy her favourite pastime again after spending time in King Edward VII hospital in London last Wednesday.
A royal source said: “The Queen is sad she can not get out on her horse, which is one of her favourite pastimes, but she is resting and taking every precaution to get back to full fitness.
“However, she is very determined to be back riding as soon as possible and in no way does she feel her riding days are behind her.”
A palace source said: “It’s a big decision for the Queen but she has always prided herself on being very fit and well.”
