It looks like it’s us Brits’ turn in the spotlight, as #Britishcore is having its moment online. It seems the nostalgia has gotten the better of us as Oasis plan to take to the stage again, for those lucky enough to have bagged a ticket.
On social media, accounts like @indiesleaze are dedicated to “documenting the decadence of the mid-late aughts and the indie sleaze party scene that died in 2012” and while we’re used to trends coming and going, #Britishcore is about as cyclical as it gets, as a lot of the key features of #Britishcore makeup hail from as far back as the 1990s.
