These are just some of the heart-warming dog-related stories that have happened in Cheshire since the beginning of 2021.
They’ve come at a time when pets have become more sought after as a result of the pandemic, according to a recent study by the Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association.
The research found that a total of 3.2 million households have acquired a pet since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, meaning that there are now 17 million pet-owning homes in he UK.
But as interest has increased, so has related crime, with an estimated 2,438 dogs were reported being taken last year – a rise of 19 per cent on 2019.
Though as we’ve seen, some of those incidents have resulted in a happy ending and an emotional reunion with between man and his best friend.
