Headteachers are calling for urgent clarity from the Welsh Government on what schools and education will look like in September.
With the end of term just three weeks away they said they hope life will be more normal by the autumn, but are planning for different scenarios, including blended and remote learning.
Education Minister Jeremy Miles is due to give an update when he takes the Welsh Government coronavirus briefing tomorrow, June 28, for the first time.
When he replaced Kirsty Williams, who stood down at the May election Mr Miles admitted there were attainment gaps in education in Wales and said addressing these would be one of his priorities.
One headteacher warned the effects of what he described as “educational long Covid” will be felt for years and said longer term issues must also be planned for.
