Glossy lipped, perfectly coiffed and lightly tanned, Tess Daly looks like she’s just stepped out from her Instagram grid. The Strictly presenter is fresh off the plane from Dubai, and living her usual jet-setting A-lister lifestyle… right? Well, not exactly.
“I hadn’t been out of the country since August 2020!” Tess laughs. “I don’t even like flying. It’s the turbulence that gets me.”
It was a shoot for her Naia Beach swimwear brand rather than a five-star holiday that prised Tess away from her cosy life in Buckinghamshire, leaving behind husband Vernon Kay and their two girls, Phoebe, 17, and Amber, 12. A wrench, of course, but did it also serve up a secretly enjoyable slice of me-time for the busy mum?
