The swimming pool at Tadley Health and Fitness Centre will close for a period of nearly two months while “vital work” is carried out to upgrade it.
The centre announced that the pool will be closed from Monday, November 4, until the New Year so that work can be done to replace the pool’s moveable floor.
The pool work is part of an ongoing improvement project at the centre, which saw its health suite being completely renovated with a brand new steam room, sauna and showers at the cost of £200,000 at the end of last year.
A centre spokesperson said: “Replacing the moveable floor is essential to ensure the smooth running of the pool in years to come and supports our desire us to continue to meet the swimming needs of the community.
“We understand how valuable our pool is and we know its closure during this time may cause some frustration.”
