Camberley greeted over 250 young people last weekend, as they immersed themselves in the varied arts and cultural opportunities available in Surrey. The hugely successful, Surrey Youth Arts and Culture Festival 2024 was held at both Camberly Theatre and Camberley Library on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November
The Festival was packed with free events and activities, supported by over 30 creative and cultural organisations, such as the National Film and Television School, Royal Holloway, University of London and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.
Young people had the opportunity to take part in activities such as coding games, film production, graphic design and music. One parent shared, “Thank you so much for a fantastic day today! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. My two children (12 & 10) loved DJ-ing, doing Le Spleen art workshop, making bead bracelets, and little boxes of joy. It was lovely to listen to all the amazing young musicians throughout their activities. My eldest is keen to continue with DJ-ing!”
