A brother and sister team from Manchester have joined together to help bring ‘inclusivity, equality and sustainability’ to the fashion world with a gender neutral fashion range inspired by the lockdown.
Kate Friar , 27, who lives in Ancoats, and her brother Chris Friar, 30, who lives in Salford, have created a range of clothing that either gender can wear – and where no product is marked up in price because of which sex is wearing it.
Kate says: “As a brand, we want to disrupt a generation that fixates on what you should wear and what path you should take.”

Their brand ‘Kontroversial’ is a range of street wear the stylish siblings designed during the lockdown and they have taken some of the iconic Manchester street art, as well as the lockdown itself, as their inspiration.
