RHS Flower Show Tatton Park drew in crowds of thousands on its first day. The floral extravaganza launched with a scorching day, as green-fingered guests enjoyed the Cheshire sunshine.
Opening to the public today and running until Sunday 25 July, it is one of the first major events in the North West to return this summer.
Celebrating a ‘Summer of Love’, the show is full of ideas and inspiration for budding and expert gardeners with an array of inspirational gardens and horticultural displays. There are also family fun activities, run by organisations such as Cheshire Wildlife Trust and the Children’s Adventure Trust, based near Knutsford. There are also sessions to get kids gardening with Lee Connelly, the Skinny Jean Gardener.
The gardens on display offer innovative planting and design ideas in the Tatton Gardens, while big ideas for small spaces showcased in the iconic Back to Back Gardens and the new Community Borders flourishing with summer planting combinations celebrating the themes of ‘love’ and ‘colour’.
