A road in central Reading is set to be closed for a month due to excavation work and the laying of a new electricity cable.
Rose Kiln Lane which sits opposite Matalan and Home Bargains in Reading will have roadworks on it from 8am on January 10 until 5pm on February 6 – with the route shut to traffic as a result.
Whilst the roadworks go ahead delays in the area are likely as the affected road sits next to the A33 where it joins a roundabout.

Reading Borough Council has given permission for Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out the closure while the work is carried out.
An SSE spokesperson said: “The road closure will take place to allow excavations and laying of a new electricity cable. There will be no interruptions to the electricity supply for any customers.
