CELTIC kid Scott Robertson is convinced he’s got a chance to make a first team breakthrough under Ange Postecoglou.
Teenage midfielder Robertson spent last season on loan at Gillingham and Doncaster Rovers.
Back in December, 2019, he was given a dream Hoops full debut against Cluj in the Europa League.
It fuelled his dreams of one day becoming a Celtic regular.
And the 19-year-old’s desperate to catch Postecoglou’s eye during the pre-season training camp in Newport.
Robertson featured in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday and hopes to be involved against Charlton tomorrow and Bristol City next Wednesday.
He said: “My plan is to try and get as much game time as I can in the next few weeks and hopefully I can put myself in a good place for the upcoming season.
“When a new manager comes in everyone’s standards lift a wee bit.
“You want to impress him early doors.
“If you can do that then it will be good for the rest of the season and trying to get game time.
