PS5 stock may be even harder to come by in the next few weeks. That’s according to the @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter account who warned demand for the PS5 is expected to rise “drastically”. The demand for the PS5 – which has been hard to come by ever since it launched almost a year ago – is expected to rise as students head back to education and workers return from summer holidays.
The @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter account posted: “We expect demand to rise drastically after September due to students returning to education and employees returning back to work (those who are on holiday).”
While there’s an imminent threat of the PS5 console becoming even more sparse, fears have also been raised that the current stock shortages could continue for a few more years.
That’s according to Toshiba’s Takeshi Kamebuchi, who said the current PS5 stock shortage situation isn’t expected to change anytime soon.
Kamebuchi-san said supply constraints for chips used in the production of the PS5 are expected to continue for another year.
