A PET owl that escaped after her aviary was destroyed by Storm Eunice has been found.
Ethel, a two-year-old eagle owl, escaped between 10am and 12pm yesterday morning from her aviary in Hadleigh.
She was staying in her aviary at Solby Wood Farm, which was even stuck into the ground, when it was destroyed by the strong winds from Storm Eunice.
Thankfully after a plea on Facebook by Rhys Watson and girlfriend Amy Weitzel to help find Ethel was shared by more than 2,000 people, she was found.
The Facebook post said: “Please if anyone sees Ethel, please contact me or Rhys.
“She will most likely be hiding in your garden or in a tree as unfortunately the storm completely demolished her aviary in Daws Heath area and has flown away.
“She was in the field, so we know she was unharmed but please keep your eyes open as I am extremely worried.”
