Walking past strangers on a busy London street and you’d hardly be able to guess what they do in their free time.
After all there are some bizarre hobbies out there.
That inconspicuous person in a suit could like nothing more than crocheting in their free time, or building boats or maybe even dressing like Medieval knight and going into battle.
Hundreds of these armoured enthusiasts gathered in a North London field to fight it out to commemorate a 550 year old battle.
The Battle of Barnet, fought in 1471, was a decisive battle in the War of the Roses, and it’s one of the many battles this country-wide community of ‘reenactors’ honour.
Back then Barnet was a Hertfordshire town and not part of the Greater London sprawl we know today.
