The ‘over the moon’ Scots owners of a cat missing for a decade have been reunited with their beloved pet.
Neil and Lucy Henderson had all but given up hope of finding missing feline Forbes after he vanished in Aberdeen in March 2011.
The couple had moved from the Granite City to start a new life in Edinburgh.
They searched for months to find him but to no avail.
But to their ‘amazement’ workers from the Scottish SPCA charity came across a very thin cat with protruding bones in Aberdeen’s Ferrier Gardens.
Animal rescue officer Greg Stevenson attended and found the cat to be very friendly with a microchip identifying him as 12-year-old Forbes.
Greg contacted the phone number on the chip and managed to get through to Forbes’ owners who told him that the cat had been missing for 10 years.
