The children will be enjoying using the gardening tools to plant seeds and watch them grow
As part of National Playday on August 4, a Leicestershire home builder donated children’s gardening kits and seeds to a nursery in Fleckney.
To help brighten up the nursery’s planting area, children at The Hunny Jar Nursery were gifted two children’s gardening sets by David Wilson Homes, containing items such as trowels, spades and gardening forks, and packets of calendula and cornflower seeds so the children can have fun planting them together and watching them grow.
National Playday’s theme for 2021 is ‘Summer of Play’, which recognises the challenges children and young people have faced over the past year and the need to enjoy time for play with their friends. The donation from David Wilson Homes comes amid their full support of this and will ensure the children can make new memories together now restrictions have eased.
