The pod, located at Aspatria Rugby Club, will be officially opened on Saturday, February 15.
It represents a significant investment in the health and wellbeing of the Aspatria community, with taxpayer funding from the UK Levelling Up Fund, administered by Copeland Community Foundation.
The opening ceremony, which starts at 12.30pm on February 15, is open to everyone.
There will be giveaways, special membership offers, and demonstrations of some of the new classes the pod will facilitate.
Dale Wilson, the owner will also be present to answer any questions.
Mel Hanley, spokesperson for Aspatria Rugby Club, said: “Aspatria RUFC are delighted to announce the addition of a new welfare pod to our fully equipped gym facilities at Bower Park.
“The new facility was installed during January 2025 and will be officially opened at our next home game on February 15, 2025.”
The new pod was deemed necessary to provide the extra space required for more health, wellbeing, and fitness sessions for the local community.
