A mum-of-one is devastated after her six-year-old son’s pet rabbit was stolen from their back garden.
Kelly Bagshaw had gifted the mini lop, named Coco, to her son Logan for his birthday in May – and the pair have been inseparable since.
Logan had been spending time with his ‘little buddy’ before school and when he returned home.
But sometime between 8pm on Monday (December 13) and 6am on Tuesday (December 14), six-month-old Coco was stolen from the family garden in Clare Street, Basford.
Kelly, aged 41, said: “Coco was kept outdoors in quite a large rabbit hut. He was stolen from my back garden. I realised he was missing at 8am on Tuesday.
“I was shocked and sick to the stomach that someone can just do that and take a child’s pet.
“Coco is so precious to Logan. We’ve had to tell him that he has gone to see his mummy and daddy in the wild just to soften the blow and not to scare him that someone has actually been in our garden.
