A mum who accidentally named her child after a popular smart speaker says she’s having “sleepless nights” over fears the youngster will be bullied.
The anonymous woman took to parenting site Mumsnet to ask for advice, after realising she “deeply regrets” her child’s moniker.
The post attracted hundreds of baffled comments, the Liverpool Echo reports, as initially she didn’t confirm what the name was, despite saying she was “100% certain” it would attract bullies.

She asked fellow users: “I’ve name changed as knowing Mumsnet, [you’re] all going to want know her name and I should imagine she’s the only 2 year old with it so quite outing.
“I’m coming to deeply regret DDs [dear daughter’s] name, which is sad as it’s a pretty name and really suits her. However I’m 100% certain she is going to be picked on, bullied and teased for being called this. This should have been foreseeable when me and exDP [dear partner] were choosing names. I was pregnant and hormonal which perhaps stopped me seeing sense, not entirely…
