In his monthly blog, Gardeners’ World star Monty Don revealed exciting news about the upcoming series of the much loved programme.
First broadcast in 1968, the show has gone on to become a must-watch for amateur and even professional gardeners up and down the nation.
It regularly attracts weekly viewing figures of 2.5million and has inspired thousands to develop green fingers.
Don, Britain’s most famous gardener, gives fans a much anticipated update when the series is not on air on his blog. Providing gardeners with much needed tips and technical advice.
In his February edition, Don comments on winter and the first signs of spring breaking through the grey skies.
“We might have snow, ice and wind in February but none of that stops all the fabulous first bulbs from appearing and breaking into bud,” he wrote.
“Snowdrops, crocus, early daffodils, primroses, intense early irises, muscari and scillas all break into flower so that however wintry the weather, the garden starts to look and feel like spring.”
