Mike Tindall has praised the Queen after stating that her strength was “amazing” at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.
The husband of Zara Tindall, the former England rugby player, was one of the select few who were able to attend the service for Prince Philip due to coronavirus restrictions.
Poignant images of the Queen had circulated earlier this month after she was forced to sit alone during the funeral, however Tindall was quick to praise her bravery.
Speaking about the day, he added that the day would have actually been what the Duke would have wanted, after always stating he would prefer a smaller, private affair, reports Wales Online.
He told BBC Breakfast: “Having to see the Queen make a stand in terms of having to show what the world is at the moment and sit on her own and be as brave as she was, I thought just summed up her up as a lady. She was amazing.
