Lockdown has enabled many of us to pick up some new hobbies or dive into old ones again as we meandered our way through the need for us to remain at home as much as possible for months to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
And while for some that meant finally getting round to that much-put-off home DIY project or becoming a dab hand in the kitchen complete with a fresh list of new recipes, others have taken to more colourful hobbies…such as making amazing, colourful piñatas.
Emma McLaughlin runs Southside Piñatas, having turned her hand to making piñatas of everything from buildings in her local area, quirky objects and even celebs such as our very own Drag Race queen Lawrence Chaney.
Asked about what inspires her to make the piñatas, she told Glasgow Live: “It’s a mix do some of them are requests and then some of them I might just see something that I think ‘that would make a good piñata, all sorts of things from buildings to people to objects, whatever I think ‘that will be a fun thing to do’.
