Local nursery children recently visited a development in Norfolk to do some planting to help make the newly-launched site bloom.
10 children from Happyfeet Day Nursery in Watton, Norfolk, visited the Wayland Fields development in the town to dig and then plant a variety of flowers.
With assistance from Paul Baines at Baines Landscaping, the children enjoyed an educational experience whilst having a hand in brightening up the development for new homebuyers.
Barratt Homes sourced children’s gardening equipment including trowels, forks, watering cans and gloves for those in attendance, which were subsequently donated to the nursery for future use.
Heidi Billing, nursery director at Happyfeet Day Nursery, said: “Its lovely to be able to work with the community and be given this opportunity. The children really enjoyed the experience and we are already looking into having an allotment to continue the experience of being able to plant and grow seeds.”
